Maurachhof – Combines vacation with feeling

A vacation at the Maurachhof is associated with many emotions, memories and thoughts. We try to convey the feeling of home to our guests with the help of unique nature as well as sustainability on all levels. We want our holidaymakers to go home with a smile on their face!

Nature – our most important companion

Water, the source of life. From our own farm spring bubbles water with the best drinking quality, which our guests as well as our animals enjoy daily. Sustainability is also reflected in many products. Depending on the season, farmer Karin cooks homemade jams from many different types of fruit from stone fruit to delicious berries. Also the bread is baked in a real wood oven with much love, together. Regional products are a top priority at the Maurachhof. Seasonally, in the spring we prepare our own juices and in the fall we make a noble drop from our fruit, the fruit brandy. The free-range chickens are also busy with us and lay their eggs every day. Your host Karin has the green thumb and takes care of the vegetable and herb patch.

It is very important for us that food is not thrown away. If, then the leftovers are fed to our animals. So our rabbits look forward to the green salad and the horses to the crunchy leftover bread. The children are welcome to use it to give the animals a treat.

Our animal family

The essential part of our farm are the many animals. Children’s eyes start to light up when they cuddle with our rabbits, or hop around with the goats. Unique at the Maurachhof, are the animal sponsorships, where the children are brought closer to the responsibility to nature with a lot of fun. They experience how important it is that animals need enough freedom and movement. Our new stable is the best place to do this.
