In 1992 the regional association “Urlaub am Bauernhof” was founded as a platform for the marketing of the rural landlords. In order to maintain the good image and high quality, the 333 members undergo a review every four years according to the criteria of farmhouse experience, equipment and service quality. Tested and evaluated, these farms are then allowed to bear the trademark of “Urlaub am Bauernhof” and are awarded two, three or four flowers.

As diverse as the SalzburgerLand itself, are also the offers of the member farms of “Urlaub am Bauernhof”. Many farms have developed their own focal points in order to be able to tailor the stay entirely to the interests and wishes of the vacationers. Special baby and children’s farms provide playgrounds, petting zoo, trampolines and child-friendly equipment for shining eyes of the smallest visitors. Horse lovers will find their vacation happiness at the equestrian farm. Those who prefer to devote themselves entirely to relaxation are in good hands at the herbal, vitality or organic farms. The Maurachhof

We are pleased that our farm is one of the TOP 5 farms in Salzburg. Foster animals for a time can take care of children during their vacation at the Maurachhof with us in St. Johann. With a personal foster animal passport and an album with care instructions, children can choose a foster animal from the rabbits, cows, ponies, sheep, cats, chickens, ducks or guinea pigs, feed it, care for it, spoil it and, of course, cuddle it. Due to the location in the Sankt Johanner Alpendorf in the immediate vicinity of lifts and slopes, this farm, which has been awarded four flowers, offers an optimal entry into the Skiwelt Amadé in winter and the starting point for beautiful hikes in summer.
